TBC Capital Forecasts Georgia’s Refinancing Rate Could Reach 8.5%

On 3 November, TBC Capital said it expected the National Bank of Georgia to raise its refinancing rate from 8.25% to 8.5% in December, citing stronger inflationary pressure and tighter global financial conditions. Georgia’s annual inflation reached 5.9% in October, while Brent crude traded around US$110 per barrel in October; the rate increase remains a forecast, not an approved policy decision. The outlook creates demand for interest-rate analysis, portfolio risk reviews and financial planning; HPC can support market research, financial modelling and investment-risk assessments.
