Kazakhstan Announces US$14.27 Billion Infrastructure Modernisation Programme

On 28 October, President Tokayev announced the People’s Construction programme, with approximately 6.5 trillion tenge (US$14.27 billion) planned from the National Fund for infrastructure modernisation through 2029. The initial social-project allocation is 1.5 trillion tenge (US$3.29 billion), covering healthcare, education, transport, housing and utilities during 2026 and the first two months of 2027.
